A must in any desert landscape! Golden spines line the ribs of this globe shaped cactus, with the top adorned by bright yellow flowers emerging from a patch of wool. A great addition to any desert, succulent or xeriscape garden. Plant these in mass for a dramatic, yet whimsical effect or set in groups amidst other drought tolerant succulent and cactus varieties. These stunning yellow globes will add an architectural interest to your garden or container planting. Perfect for flat desert landscapes because their clustering habit leads the eye to believe your garden has rolling hills. Although this plant does have golden spines along its ribs, they are gently curved, giving it the amusing nickname of Mother-In-Law’s Cushion. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Watering can be reduced after establishment.
