Purple flowers and colorful bracts on this Bougainvillea variety do not fade in the heat or with age. They retain their beautiful blooms over a long bloom season. This tropical evergreen has a dense flowering habit and vibrant purple blooms surrounded by dark green leaves. This heavy bloomer retains its color well and reaches 20-30 feet tall (6-10 feet wide). It flourishes as a vine, accent, ground cover, or container plant. This Bougainvillea is a moderate to fast grower with an incredibly thick flowering habit. The bougainvillea-industry standard for purple, this variety is a staple item for landscapers in South Florida, hence her alias name Palm Beach. Bougainvillea needs at least 6 hours of full sun a day to flower profusely and look its best. This plant also loves the heat. This plant is hardy from USDA zones 9b 11. It doesnt like to go below 30 degrees F and definitely not for a prolonged period of time.
